Morning Routine

The school opens at 8.45am in the morning.  The green gate will be opened at 8.30am for children and parents are to come onto the playground. Please ensure that your child is not left on the playground prior to 8.45am.

At 8.45am the children are asked to make their way into the school building, they will then have time to organise themselves, talk to their class teacher and generally settle before school. The children then complete the morning register before beginning the first lesson of the day.

The school gates are normally closed after 8.45am and anyone arriving after this time needs to enter the building through reception. As they will have missed the morning register, they will need to sign in late at the office.

We are open to the children during term time for 32.5 hours a week. 8.45am - 3.15pm, Monday to Friday.

Should you require breakfast and after school care, we run an on-site provision facilitating this from 7.45am - 5.45pm (Monday to Thursday) and 7.45am - 5.15pm (Friday) during term time.

Home Time

The school day finishes at 3.15pm. Parents will collect their children from the classroom doors. The school gates are normally opened at 3.00pm to enable you to come in and wait outside the classroom.

There are no members of LJS staff on duty in the playground between the gates opening at 3:00pm and classes being dismissed at 3:15pm. Any children on site during this time who are waiting for siblings or friends should therefore be supervised by their parents or carers. 

Please ensure that end of day permissions are set correctly within Arbor as these (in addition to club lists) will be used by the staff.

Where arrangements need to vary (e.g. a one off collection by someone as a favour) please make sure the office is notified as this will need to be checked if not.

If you wish to speak to your class teacher for any length of time, please make an appointment through the school office, and they will arrange this for you.
